- The Monticello Association is qualified to be the recipient and/or beneficiary of gifts, estates, trusts, and donations. The Association is a tax-exempt organization under Section 501 c-13 of the Internal Revenue code, and is classified as a non-profit cemetery organization. Financial contributions made to the Association are generally tax deductible.
General Contributions to support the Monticello Graveyard may be made by following this link: Make a Tax-Deductible Contribution
If you wish to make a more specific contribution in support of a certain Project, In Memory of or In Honor of a loved one, please send a check made payable to, "Monticello Association," and mail to the address below:

Specific Projects that could benefit from donations may not all be tax-deductible (consult your Tax Attorney). Current projects include:
-Historic Preservation & Graveyard Maintenance
-TJ Living History Platform to curate a digital collection of family artifacts, stories, photos and memories leading up to the
250th Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence Commemoration in 2026 (paid directly to platform provider, not a charitable contribution to MA)
-Scholarship Fund (began as the Essay Contest Fund) to provide incentives for young future members to create content to share on the TJ Living History Community platform
